Queen Victoria School - Building Facade

COVID PANDEMIC UPDATE

Updated: 29th November 2020

This Covid pandemic that we are living through has changed the world. As I write we are going through the second wave, and when we come out of lockdown we will be going into tiers. These may last until Easter 2021 and beyond.

So sadly we will be unable to have an Old Victorian Association weekend in 2021. Also, Grand Day next year will be a virtual one, as it was this year, as many of us will not have had the vaccine in time.

Therefore the next time that hopefully we can all meet up at the School, and then in Dunblane for a few drinks and a blether, will be in March 2022. Remember that in the meantime we have an active facebook group, the link to which is at the top of this page.

I hope you’re staying safe and keeping well and I look forward to seeing you all again in March 2022.

Jonny Sutherland
President OVA

What is the OVA?

The OVA is an association for the former pupils, teachers and friends of Queen Victoria School in Dunblane, Scotland. The major aim of this group is to provide a social network for those who attended the school offering support and advice where possible. Our values and aspirations are ones of integrity, discipline and honesty and we aim to encourage this both at the school and on leaving the school.

The association has been undergoing major changes in the last few years and the constitution which was last updated in 2003 has been altered to allow a wider membership of supporters. Membership to the association is no longer limited to old boys and girls of the school, but also teachers, families and supporters who share our values.

The Old Victorians weekend in March 2020 was a huge success. More information on the event will be available when the report is ready.

If you would like to make direct contact with the Old Victorians Association you can contact us here.

I would encourage all of you Old Victorians, teachers and former teachers, supporters and families however associated with the school now or in the past, to please get involved. My personal mission is to make the OVA relevant and active and I look forward to hearing from you.

Please keep a watch on this website, join our facebook group and follow us on twitter!
